Shalimar sighed as she paced her bedroom floor. She glanced at the clock and groaned. It was three thirty in the morning and she was so tired but she couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep. There was only one thing that might help her. She exited her room and made her way across Sanctuary towards Brennan's room. His door was partially open so she peeked inside to find him sound asleep. At least she thought he was asleep he had his back to her with his arms under the pillows, which usually meant he was in deep sleep.

"Dammit," she whispered as she turned to go back to her room.

"Shalimar?" Brennan mumbled from his pillow.

She turned around with a regretful look on her face as she put her bottom lip between her teeth. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," she said sympathetically.

"I wasn't asleep," he turned over and opened his eyes and took in the sight of her. She was wearing a pair of pajama bottoms and a white tank top.

"It's three in the morning," she said surprised he was still up.

"Couldn't sleep either?" he asked more than said.

She shook her head, "I've been pacing my room for hours and I am so tired I could fall asleep standing up but…" she trailed off as he moved aside and pulled the covers back. With a smile she quickly ran to the bed and crawled under the covers with him. They snuggled against one another. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head in the curve of her neck and she rested her hands on top of his wrapped around her.

"Comfortable?" he asked drifting off to sleep.

"Hmm," she managed to mumble before she too was consumed by sleep.
